Polar Night

Aurora curtains drift over snow-covered mountains. Across the collection, particle, field, surface, and lighting behavior evolves during playback.

The Windows launcher brings world selection, live preview, wallpaper and screensaver modes, and quality presets together.

Native simulation.
Live rendering.

Fortran coordinates the scene lifecycle; OpenGL compute and rendering shaders produce the imagery. The native launcher connects those worlds to the Windows desktop. Particle-heavy GPU worlds evolve during playback; their scale varies by world and quality preset. Normal wallpaper and screensaver playback runs locally, offline.

Modern Fortran owns the product model and procedural scene lifecycle. Narrow C and Win32/WGL boundaries support an OpenGL 4.6 renderer, including compute shaders. A self-contained WPF launcher manages world selection, preview, live wallpaper, and screensaver operation.
